funbobby Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 There is a second hand Brian James trailer on Pistonheads that looks ok - its located in Southampton and its only up for 450 quid. As long as you dont mind buying it off a guy who has a Cateringvan Quote
peterg Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Yep, that is worth a look, probably will need a quick sand down and repaint but otherwise a much better job than something cobbled together from the contents of a skip Quote
Blatman Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Complete with no brakes and an external hydraulic braking system? Looks like a world of pain and spare part expenditure to me... Hand me that barge pole Quote

Barney, For what its worth, I've experienced the same problem with my Clubman. Pain in the when you hitch up at 5.30 in the morning I ended up wiring some indicators on the wheel arches so I can see them in my door mirrors.!! I'm now in the process of modifying my trailer by covering it and widening the rear end so it will take wider wheels and wider arches in the future. (Its a long story) Richard Quote
nikpro Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Just Checkout W/F's website & BJ's Westfield Megablade is 3340mm long x 1610mm wide Brian James Minno - Bed Size is 3353 x 1651mm 40mm (20mm either side) Tighter than a camels erse in a sandstorm........ Unfortunately Westfield measure the width of the rear track; the rear arches are wider again - it will fit on but it's very tight! - that's why I sold my 5'5" trailer. Quote
peterg Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Blatman, I meant the one on Pistonheads was worth a look and the 'contents of a skip' was a description of the one posted about earlier Quote

Barney, For what its worth, I've experienced the same problem with my Clubman. Pain in the when you hitch up at 5.30 in the morning No, it's not just you. The internals of the n/s indicator on my Clubman 950 fell to pieces the first time I hitched up. Been on the blink ever since. Blown a couple of other bulbs as well. 6 months old and not exactly fault free, electrically. Otherwise, build quality excellent. Howard Quote
