Barry Ashcroft Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 If ordering anything online from either Currys or Dixons when at the checkout stage you can enter a promotional code for discounts, Enter "mac5" this will get you a McDonalds affilliate discount of 5% Worked for me Quote
pistonbroke Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 What did you buy ? could it have been a new in-flight movie system for the Westfield Quote
JonnyBoy Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 be carefull when you buy from the Mastercare stores group, choose which store you use carefully. I looked into buying a Sony NWA1000 for the GF. a cracking deal at £141 at all major online retailers (Comet, Currys Dixons etc) but interestingly: Delivery Costs: Dixons = £6.99 Currys = £9.99 PC World = FREE Comet = FREE Does anyone else find it strange that 3 stores that are owned by the same corporation and use the same web shopping templates have 3 different fdelivery charges?? Also.. egg offer 5% cashback on Currys.. sometimes up to 15% I bought a big TV package for mum and Dad on Dads Egg CC, got free delivery, 15% cashback on the already lower online price. Saved about £100 on the store price!!! Quote

When buying a new cooker and hob I searched out best deal I could find - see www.kitchenscience.co.uk This had price that was considerably lower than Comet/Currys website (or anyone else's for that matter), which in turn is always cheaper than the store........but it turns out that kitchenscience is in fact a Comet site!!!! MAT1800 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Also why are Dixons usually in town centres and Currys more in your 'out of town' places... Quote
