a4drk Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I would like to insure my Minno trailer... Can anyone recommend an insurance company ? Whats the going rate for a trailer - valued at £1250 ? Cheers David Quote
KerryS Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 When I borrowed a trailer, I couldn't get any insurance for it; was told cannot insure them but there are folks on here who have I think. They are plated and serial number'd so reasonably traceable? Kerry Quote
Blatman Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Competition Car Insuarance (CCI) are who to use. Stoneways are to be avoided... You weren't the first person to ask though Quote

In future, it may be worth ringing them to advise them that you will be using a trailer for the day/weekend/whatever and that you require comprehensive cover for said trailer... Quote
a4drk Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Cheers Blatman just read your previous post.. I'll give CCI a phone cheers David Quote
a4drk Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Just phoned CCI, they just told me that they only insure trailers if they already insure the Car. i.e. I need to contact my Westfield insurance Company to get covered... (Sureterm) Quote

Ah never tried the car insurer I did try the caravan insurer as a trailer seemed nearer to being a caravan than a car but they didn't want to know, neither did the Westy insurers, Footman James. In the end I bore the risk myself. Kerry Quote

(Sureterm) That's a change then, as I don't insure any of me vehicles with CCI. Call them back and double check. Quote
