JeffC Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 sorry ive had the console out and it was VERY tight to get back together am I incorrect in thinking this would have been fitted from new, im sure on the spec sheet it had bluetooth fitted as an option .. Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Well from the piccy sack the installer e60 with i-drive recommended points are in the boot Not if you are routing the audio through the speakers the auto lead goes into the stereo behind the dash Need to tell if it is a CK1W or a CARK112 both had the dark grey buttons Barry Quote
ChrisG Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 A slight hijack but what are the differences between the CK-7W and the CK-1W? I used to have a 7W in my old Bora but need one for my new car and the latter seems to be about £20 cheaper, is it just that the 1W doesnt have the wired option for plugging in non bluetooth phones and charging? Can both link into the head unit rather than have a seperate speaker? Quote
peterg Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 get a Parrot 3200LS we've just had one fitted to SWMBO's new car and it's the dogs danglies clicky Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 is it just that the 1W doesnt have the wired option for plugging in non bluetooth phones and charging In a nut shell yes but the connection via bluetooth is better on a CK7W and if you are wanting to put the audio through the speakers you are better off with a 7W as the speaker output on the 1W is too high and was knackering some car speaker systems hence they dropprd the kit in favour of the 7W any 1W's you find will be old stock. Have to aggree the parrott kit is excellent but does not charge you phone which is a real pain if you are a high user I can kill a 6230i battery in a morning so no good for me but have installed hundreds for customers. peterg Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 we also both have 6230i phones and just plug them into a £5 car charger lead when in the car and sit the phone in the ashtray, mind you, that's in a VW Golf with the factory satnav, if we had a Tom Tom in her car then we'd need a 2 or 3 plug adapter just to run everything Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Forgot untill today when I collected the westie from portsmouth that I have a CK7W in it connected to the autocom, First time I have used it over here and am very impressed perfect clarity at 85mph on the M4. Barry Quote
