tintop has a nokia bluetooth hands free thingie fitted, its the type that only has a rotary knob on the  dash..

Its worked helish for last 9 months until ive upgraded my phone gone from 6230 -6230I,  with the new phone I cant get it to graft!!  :bangshead:  you turn on bluetooth , search for paired devices , it finds the car kit, but fails to connect, it wont pair, it doesnt get as far as asking for the  the passcode. just displays .  stop pairing failed ..

ive tried other phones in the car and they pair up no probs.

Ive even had a replacement handset sent out and its just the same with the new one..

Anyone got any idea what the prob could be    :durr:  :durr:

How many phones have you got paired to the kit as there is a limit to the number of handsets it can handle.

Try deleting some handsets and try again.

Find the junction box of the car kit what is the part no. CK7W, CK1W or CARK112 light silver button or dark grey button. Disconnect the junction box wait a couple of minutes and reconnect the power lead with the ignition on and the microphone (small twist plug disconnected ) wait then reconnect microphone try again to pair.

If silver button with the ignition off press and hold down button untill you hear a beep then try to re pair handset.

Dark coloured button is early nokia bluetooth CK1W or CARK112.

The only way to reset is like I said by the unplug the microphone method.

What car is it?  I can tell you where I would fit the junction box.

Any probs PM me your mobile

Ok , There are two places to look open the glovebox, at the rear there is a removable panel with two twist clips either side remove this panel to gain acces to a large hole behind the  glovebox check in there.

Secondly under the glovebox there are 3 phillps headed screws going up remove those then one in the footwell going in to the center at the rear then there is a thin carpet strip which runs back along the center console side this to the rear removing this to access another screw then remove the panel complete under the glovebox.

You are looking for a small black box about 4x3x1"

Does the phone sound come out of the car speakers?? If it does it may be behind the stereo! not impossible to get to but try the others first.

Happy hunting

Well from the piccy sack the installer :):)  e60 with i-drive recommended points are in the boot , with ignition on press and hold button for approx 10 secs, if its the early grey button the little blue light will come on to indicate cleared memory ( allowed 4 phones if mem serves me right) now try connecting your phone, if you havnt got the 4 digit code it is the last 4 digits of the serial number on the comms box so you will have to find it
