KerryS Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Change the "y" to an "e", cut in half and you've got a 1700 Zetec Alonso move is for 2007 I see from BBC website. Kerry Quote
Bananaman Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Max Torque: 330lbs ft - 442Nm Max Power: 520 bhp - 412kW Are you sure it wont fit in a Widebody Quote
peterg Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Must mean that Raikonnen is going to Ferrari Why? Ron Dennis has had 2 top drivers in his team before and I read somewhere that they would like to have 2 World Champions in the Vodafone McLaren team for 2007 so FA and KR could be going head to head in the same equipment Quote
pistonbroke Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 A1 cars were loosely designed around the american "champ" cars which were ****** brilliant to watch , loads of action and close racing , and they sounded good too Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Could be that Ronzo wants to outdo his 15 out of 16 race wins in a season.....he's that type of guy Quote
Richgm Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Listening to 5 live, rumor has it that it's because Renault will be pulling out of GP racing. Quote
scooby Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 The vodafone deal sealed it for Alonso. Vodafone deal IS FKIN HUGE Quote
DavidC Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 So Alonso has signed for a Vodafone team just as Telefonica have left MotoGP for F1 so that they can sponsor a Spanish champion...oh dear. There'll be some sponsorless MotoGP teams who are mightily pi55ed off now. Still, Alonso and Montoya at McLaren will be good, assuming that Raikkonen has signed that contract with Ferrari that was rumoured all year. Bring on 2006 'THE' silly season. Quote
jonlewis Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Carlos Goshn is already quoted as saying he does not believe in F1 as the best investment... Maybe they are pulling out. You could also be cynical and suggest that this allows Alonso to get a whole new bunch of sponsors at his new elevated charging mechanism.... Quote
steve_m Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 There'll be some sponsorless MotoGP teams who are mightily pi55ed off now. Tell me about it ! Had two of them on the 'phone today. I told them that I'm still very happy sponsoring Hitchin under 11 5-a-side but they wouldn't listen. In the end I had to offer £50 just to get rid of them Quote
