GWatson Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Hi guys, Bit of background first, I've bought a Dension Ice Link Plus for my 2003 BMW Z4. My car has the upgraded Carver stereo system, basically the premium package with DSP, 2 subs, amp and 10 speakers, but no Sat Nav. I am connecting my iPod mini 4gb to this. Anyway, I've installed the IceLink and the intereaction between the stereo and ipod is fantastic as is the text on the screen. However... and this is a big problem I have no sound at all. I've updated my ipod firmware and dension firmware to 2.b2 I think.. Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong, it's doing my head in. Look forward to your responses. Graeme Quote
Neil Purdie Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Graeme I was going to sugest trying the Z4um site......but spotted you have already. Have you disconected your CD autochanger cable in the boot( 2 cables ) aswell as the multiplug on the back of the head unit. Your head unit may be confused if its now seeing 2 changers, trying to play audio from a partially disconected unit. If you dont have a CD changer or have fully disconnected then ignore the above Quote
GWatson Posted December 18, 2005 Author Posted December 18, 2005 Hi Neil, I don't have a CD autocchanger, but it is pre wired so that could be confusing the amp in th eboot, however the autochanger cable is plugged into the head unit. I removed the amp from the boot but couldn't see anything obvious, one multi connection and one what looks like the aerial. G Quote
