gerry Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I need a good condition Sierra diff - 3.92 or higher (ie not 3.62), with no noticeable backlash/play. This is to replace a pretty ancient diff in my car - older style CV joints not the newer Lobro or whatever. Not sure if these are interchangeable. Cheshire area would suit best.
deano.1 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 I have a feeling that they can be changed but am not certain, i have a 3.92 diff with lobro fittings that i would part with for a few beer tokens if its any good to you! It was from a 1990 Sierra 2.0 GLSi which i drove before I stripped it (no noise from diff)
gerry Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 deano Thanks for the offer - I will try to find out if drive shafts are interchangeable. Gerry
windy Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I have diff in bits if you are interested - see posts in for sale section.
gerry Posted December 20, 2005 Author Posted December 20, 2005 Windy Thanks for the offer - but think I would prefer a whole one, if poss. Will get back to you if I need bits. Cheers, Gerry
windy Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Well if you want it built into whatever ratio you want I can build it up for you no probs.
