pistonbroke Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Sounds like an earth problem, but it could be a lighting circuit incomplete problem. I have no experience with a Digi-Dash though so for all I know it the dingleflapper not earthing to the reticulating splunge grommet... hmmmm thats only on the Mark1 dash If you dont have the later model with the upgraded dingleflapper then the thermal spectrum phase discriminator calibrator will need the firmware updating. alternatively Delicate adjustment of the flapper control contacts, using a suitable manchester spanner (tune for maximum smoke ) may give a temporary solution . hth. RobC Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005 the digidash I have is the mk1, but you have lost me with the dingle dangle flange flapper thingy Are you taking the micky? Your both going over my head Quote
pistonbroke Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Sorry I Hoped we were not going to deep into jargon for you fella top and bottom of it is we struggle for a suitable solution at times here and rather than admit we dont reall have an instant reply , we make one up that sounds erm , plausible ? we often get carried away or should be Quote
pistonbroke Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Back on track with the lights The westfields set up doesn't work like a tin top when it comes to 'some' of the wiring , this is because the body being fiberglass cannot be used for part of the wiring as on a yer tin top ! because of this the -ve return side of the lighting circuit is hard wired in places to make the connection complete . what this means is that things wont work properly till the rest of the lighting is connectd to the loom and properly wired . when its all together then you will be better able to fault trace .
