Anybody remember the USSR propaganda item about Moskvitch cars when they were pitted against Minis etc., in production car races back in the dim and distant past? At the time the classes were divided by purchase price and a 1500cc Moskvitch cost the same as a Mini 848cc and so they appeared in the same races. On one occasion, apocryphally, two cars only, finished a particularly destructive race and the sole Mini lead the only other car, a Moskvitch, over the finish line, quite a way ahead. Pravda, Isvestya, or whatever news agency it was reported that the trusty USSR built Moskvitch "came second in the prestigious race", while " the British built Mini was second to last" Amazing how the US has learned from the Soviet spin doctors.
