PeterOz Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Blatman - wouldn't he have to prove slippy was wrong first ? Nope - If you make a defamatory statement about someone in print (libel), or verbally (slander) then the onus under the law is for you to prove it. On the web, the writer, the web site owner and the ISP can all be sued just like the writer, the magazine and the distributor in the print field. So, let's be careful out there Quote
MuddyBum Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 And unfortunatly I can't replace the * with any letter other than i and make a valid word....... Oops watch out slippy......... Si Quote
Pembroke Pat Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 You can't slander or libel Tim Westwood if you only speak the truth about him. My impression is that only the truth has been spoken. Quote
