"....a claimed 220 horsepower. The Honda engine was originally for the Acura Integra Type R and was rated for 195 horsepower. But Mini Tec says better-breathing intake and exhaust systems add 25 ponies, and despite copious amounts of wheelspin, the VTEC Mini still scooted to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds."

Have seen one of these at Castle Coombe as well as a handfull of 2L VX powered motors. Very neat & very quick

I like the look of the Z Cars Conversion (Hayabusa in the back driving the rear wheels). Had a Mini 1275 GT years ago and would love something like this again

I saw that at Stoneleigh Show, it was basically a Mini look body on a Z-cars chasis. Very impressive :t-up:  :t-up: and they had some great video clips showng of it in action

Mmm very nice not cheap at all though.

I'm in the process of re-building a mini for the wife, Going Honda power but not the VTEC, 1.4 16v twin carb out of a old civic, about 90bhp which is a lot of a increase from the 998cc at 35bhp!!  If i can get the subframe to accept this engine it should be a direct swap for the 1.6 CRX engine in the future.  he he!!  :D
