Boomy Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I know people slap V8's etc into them but i would quite fancy a blat in one of these.Always loved the original minis and this would be an interesting drive i'm sure. http://www.caranddriver.com/article....umber=1 "....a claimed 220 horsepower. The Honda engine was originally for the Acura Integra Type R and was rated for 195 horsepower. But Mini Tec says better-breathing intake and exhaust systems add 25 ponies, and despite copious amounts of wheelspin, the VTEC Mini still scooted to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds." Quote
david.c Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Have seen one of these at Castle Coombe as well as a handfull of 2L VX powered motors. Very neat & very quick David Quote
Paul M Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I like the look of the Z Cars Conversion (Hayabusa in the back driving the rear wheels). Had a Mini 1275 GT years ago and would love something like this again Quote
david.c Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I like the look of the Z Cars Conversion (Hayabusa in the back driving the rear wheels). Had a Mini 1275 GT years ago and would love something like this again I saw that at Stoneleigh Show, it was basically a Mini look body on a Z-cars chasis. Very impressive and they had some great video clips showng of it in action Not cheap though David Quote
karlgurney Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Mmm very nice not cheap at all though. I'm in the process of re-building a mini for the wife, Going Honda power but not the VTEC, 1.4 16v twin carb out of a old civic, about 90bhp which is a lot of a increase from the 998cc at 35bhp!! If i can get the subframe to accept this engine it should be a direct swap for the 1.6 CRX engine in the future. he he!! Quote
fastcarl Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 http://www.mini-performance.co.uk/Video%20Page.htm. not as much fun as some of these though . . from 2005 carl Quote
