adamnreeves Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Get WF to press them in and also they will take back the unused metalastic ones as credit against the polyones they are good like that Now that's what I want to hear. I was thinking of asking them to take back the metalastic ones. Thanks Quote
adamnreeves Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 If you get really stuck with the 2 metalastics Adam, let me know as we have two presses at work (done a few sets on them), I know it'd mean posting them etc but the offer's there if you need it. Cheers, Mark. Thanks for the offer Mark, If I get stuck I will give you a yell. Thanks. Quote
nikpro Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Looked at you build site and it is excellent; you going to have fun in that garage later on in the build - it looks very small!! PS: I'd turn the chasis round so you can fit the engine through the front garage door otherwise you'll be bu**ered. Quote
geofff Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Hi adamnreeves, I'll second nickpro's comments about the build site. I noticed your comments about "Kit Car Crisis" - keep watching you'll be surprised Ta Geoff Quote

Thanks always good to hear comments about the website/blog, sometimes wonder if anyone else looks at it! I looked at yours of course, and I will find the photographs very useful. Very nice car by the way. I see what you mean about the chassis position, I think it will turn it round before I begin the heavy mechanicals. Quote

adamnreeves Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Boardroom discussion can be found... Here And here And another Ta Geoff Yes very amusing. Erm whats gonig to be cheaper, organising a crane to left 20tonne over the house with all emergency services standing by, telegraph poles removed not or rent a small garage? I didn't actually see the crane lift but was wondering if the car dropped through the roof of the house! Quote
geofff Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I really hope renting a garage rather than a crane would be cheaper Or I've done it wrong. Maybe I should store my trailer on top of the garage and hoist it down every weekend. All the way through the series his decision making was form over function (fine for a road car but not race car IMO) - maybe he liked the idea of showing his car to the world? What I never found out was where he was planning to store the car after craning it out? Ta Geoff Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Don't know about the really big cranes, but one able to lift 500 kg worth over a house isn't as outrageously expensive as you'd think Quote
geofff Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Right.......I'm building ramps up to the flat roof of my garage. I can use the winch on the trailer to haul it up there Then I can stop renting that council lock up I'm always worried about the security there anyway. I'll use the money saved to paint my house black with red pansies on the groundfloor ceiling line like a dado rail Hey it makes sense to me. Hang on a second......how did my underpants get on my head.....and what are these pencils doing up my nose........ Ta Geoff Quote
