slippy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Having looked at numerous options for upgrading my engine I have decided the cheapiest and easiest way is to try and get hold of a tuned CVH so if anyone is considering upgrading and has a relaible/tuned CVH let me know. Fingers crossed
Mark Stanton Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Too late sold mine Speak with Mike Tanski at Ferriday Engineering 01785 621710 A venerable CVH guru and nice bloke He will tell you all you ever need to know and does some quality work
slippy Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 I know Ferriday have a good name but I was hoping to pick one pre done
Vinny's Westie Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 If you want a CVH but its not tuned, has got the 81SM head, which is the proper CVH head then I have one you can have free of charge. It was in my car and was supposed to have been rebuilt about 8000 miles ago, I have the BHP figures and it produces about 103 BHP I am in the process of moving so the engine has to go, so if you want it or know anyone else then they are welcome to have it.
slippy Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 Thanks Vinnie I already have a CVH but am looking for an easy upgrade ( If there is such a thing ) to more power

Mark Stanton Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Thanks Vinnie I already have a CVH but am looking for an easy upgrade ( If there is such a thing ) to more power If by easy you mean "cheap" then sorry power costs money albeit more or less. Grab yourself a lean burn CVH head and have if fettled/ported cam, solid lifters for revvage, heavy duty springs et al and roberts yer mothers brother Not toooo expensive ................. You know you'll do it and whilst you're there get Mike to match the inlet fannimold
slippy Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 From reading posts/links I think I have the lean burn hemi head already so that's a good start. Unfortunately I don't have circa £1500 at the mo
