neilwillis Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Stu's always been a little comfort oriented - I bet he had his slippers with him too! I have to agree to an extent about the poor standard of the show. Is it me, or are all the shows slowly becoming more mediocre? The way I see things is that we can still use shows as an excuse for a get together, if nothing else. The Derby/Notts guys and Garry Bunn in particular did the club proud by setting things up as usual, they were there Friday evening, pitching the tent until after dark. A little appreciation for their hard work wouldn't go amiss. They get my thanks anyway. I think part of the problem this year for the low key Donington was the late date. I hope that will not become a regular thing, cuz I am sure it'd kill it completely. It was good to see people from all parts of the UK again, and I for one think any show where we get together, have a laugh (mainly from listening to Martini Mike's phone messages) and kick a few tyres isn't such a bad thing. Or were you all just there to take a look at the manufacturers stands? Quote

cast iron Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Mark thanks for lending our kid your lid I amazed we found one to fit him No problems unless you are calling me a big ed!! It felt like I spent most of the day lending various tools out. I thought Westfields were reliable? And before anyone asks why I had a toolbox in the ?Car I was sprinting at Cadwell the previous day, driving Darlington Cadwell-Sprint, Donnington, and home and wasn't going to push my luck Quote

stu999 Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 because the tintop and caravan Getting soft in yer old age stu Sadly, the tyres on the 'proper' car are currently more suitable for racetracks than they are road use, but as I am determined to get every last drip of goodness out of tyres, I wasnt going to fit new ones *just* for Donny. Especially with a trackday at Anglesey 'just round the corner'. A bit peeved, as the weather had been all weekend, especially for mid October... Besides, you can carry more Stella in a wobble box Quote
cast iron Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 wasn't going to push my luck or yer car Push the Car - I dont have a ruddy option if I'm going to try and keep up with the rest of the Class A boys and girls Until next year Quote
