Hi

I am very keen to own a westfield, but, i have tried my mates(colnagowetdream) and don't fit in very well. He has GRP seats fitted in his and my knees get stuck on the bottom of the dash. He says a wide body might be worth a try. So, the question is are there any tall people out there that have a wide body, and do you fit in it ok

cheers

Geoff - with all due respect - you are a short A***.

Plenty of taller drivers with bigger feet - myself included. You could (and I did) fit in a narrow body car just fine although you will have more space in a wide body. The real key to this is choosing the right seat. I just had a couple of vinyl covered cushions in my old narrow SE and was fine.

Now have a SEIW with PKM R500 seats (widely used by owners) and again it's fine. Get your cheque book out... :t-up:

I'm 6'3" (and I know there are taller ones around iin Westies) I sport size 13s and weigh in at a cool 18st (or 17st if you're being asked by the nice people at Shenington Gliding Club)

I'm not fat, I'm big-boned.

My Westy is an SE Wide with floor mounted pedals and floor mounted seat. I am now on my third set of seats in attempt to get comfortable and be able to see through the glass bit of the windscreen, this is now achieved with Reverie Mulsannes hard up against the floor and rear bulkhead.

6' with size 10's and I fit in a narrow body just fine, I must have short legs though - I dunno.

Hoping to get a wide body soon just for that bit of extra leg/elbow room.

BTW: did you know that Westfield sportscars now do an option of a lower floorpan (Just like in the Sport 2000s). This lowers the floor by about 50mm and is perfect for taller drivers as it puts your eye level just below the windscreen surround (if you have one).

Would have thought it's just a matter of un-rivetting one, and rivetting in another???

The seat mounting plates need changing as well and this is a weld in job.

I'm 6'5 and 14 stone and fit fine in my widebody car. My only problem I have is the shoes I wear... have to wear proper racing type boots or I hit 2 pedals at once...

I'm 5'11" with size 10 feet and fit in my narrow body SE just perfect, although I haven't found a comfy way over resting my foot on the accelerator.
