funbobby Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Hello all - does anyone know if these overalls are acceptable for entry in the speed series? Thanks for any help SPARCO RACING OVERALLS LEVEL 2 SPEC Sparco badge on back collar reads: CIK-FIA2001/27 07-2002/07-2007 Quote
adhawkins Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Are they Nomex (or the other one, Proban is it?)? If not, then no. CIK? Isn't that something to do with Karting? Andy Quote
funbobby Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 Cheers mate Ive sent them a message asking if they are Nomex or Proban, just waiting for a reply Quote
funbobby Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 This is what they came back with : They are level 2 efficiency as stated inside the overalls the labels read as follows: THis garment is F.I.A approved and complies to the actual standard rules it is manufactured to protect drivers-mechanics during events of F1/TRACK/RALLY/KART and it is made of special material according to each single discipline. SPARCO is not liable for any problem arising from any incorrect use. Please note this is as stated on label stitched inside overalls hope this helps regards Quote
adhawkins Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 CIK is definitely the Karting bods, I suspect this is a karting suit. As such, not suitable for sprinting (IMO). Andy Quote
