JeffC Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 anyone any suggestions for a better mobile phone tariff than the one im on ,Im with orange and have been for last 9 years, they will match any tariff of the other phone companys but I have to tell them which one i want them to swap it on to... My current mobile bill is based on the best deal i could find last year which was at the time an "O2 max" tariff costing £75 month plus vat, I get 1000 mins x-network and 50 texts, I normally exceed the texts using up to 200 and I normally use 900-1200 mins. my last 6 bills have been £90-£110. Anyone suggest a better deal...... thanks in advance... Quote
johnjj Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I'm on same deal with O2 with 2 additional users, haven't seen any better deals since, but will be watching to see if anyone else has as we're due for renewal in Nov. Quote
jos Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 3 have some wicked tariffs at the moment but the Orange OVP rep I spoke to about price matching said that 3 is not price matched so tuff. Quote
jos Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 http://www.three.co.uk/priceplans/paymonplans.omp Personal tarriffs, for £60 per month you can get 1000 minutes & 150 texts or for £100 per month get 2000 minutes & 300 texts Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I had a similar offer a year or so ago and found that Virgin tariffs were cheapest as they didnt charge monthly line rental. This saved me 75% over my previous bill. I've been on it ever since. Check out some of the Virgin tariffs. John Quote

MAT1800 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Not exactly Call charge related... However I've just lost my mobile, I phoned orange today and they said that they would send me a free replacement for tommorow before 10, even though I hadn't taken out the insurance. I explained I was thinking of changing the phone anyway so there was no need. But they insisted on sending me a new one "even if I only used it a couple of days. I could always then get an identical SIM card and use it as a spare" Been with them for about 8 years now and they have never let me down when it comes to Customer Services. Always worth considering as well as the price. Mat. Quote
RobC Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 ring orange and tell them you want to go onto the Virgin mobile tariff, calls are more expensive but there is no line rental. I have been on it for over 1 and half years and saved shed loads... You keep the same phone and is just the same service with orange Quote

Chasmon Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I'm on three and have to say the coverage in Gloucestershire is better than I found orange. My new contract works out as £7.50 per month for 500 minutes and 100 texts. Yes the deimal is in the right place...I'd be surprised if you didn't get a dgood deal for that many inutes with them.
