JonnyBoy Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 yes.. but is it enough power to run a spray gun theres running a paint gun.. and having clogged nozzles after 5 minutes of spraying see. ( granted.. i did see that *after* i asked.. but when I painted my jeep, i had to get a bigger compressor than i thought i'd need) Quote
neilb Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 It has quite a big tank, 24l, and a 2hp motor, most cheap ones are only 1.5hp. so it will probably do most paint jobs but if you are looking to start a body shop then probably not, all in all it's £50. If you want one I would try and get it on sunday night as they will go very quickly Quote
JeffC Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 it would run a mini spraygun, word of advice with cheap compressors, they can sometimes have cheapy plastic pistons, after a while they will wear and loose compression and stop building pressure, I bought a 50 litre sealey from machine mart 5 years ago, have painted 2 westys with it and used it for hundreds of other paintjobs when i had my smart repair business and it still works as good as the day i got it, think was £150 ish?? moral of tale.. you often get what you pay for!! JonnyBoy Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Well.. i got mumsie to pick me one of these when this post went out.. anyway.. i finally got round to using it... does it work.. does it f**k I've had a look round to see what in my 'expert' opinion might be wrong, and i've narrowed it down to the pressure valve knob being faulty. The screw that goes into the pressure regulator is effectively too small and consequently doesnt hold pressure. So.. the moral of the tale is.. you often get what you pay for!! Anyone else pick one up? any problems? Quote
