felters Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Update on today... Goodwood at it's best really. Cracking weather, decent bunch of blokes and driving etiquette to be proud of all round. Noise testing was painful. I just scraped through the 98db static test (7,250rpm on my 'Blade) and apparently hit the drive by limit on a couple of occasions. I was duly given some guidance on what racing line to take on the areas of track where the three drive by measurements are taken. Bit disappointed that my static test was so high - not much more I can do with the silencing. It's an airbox next - anybody seen my Reverie catalogue? Quote
conibear Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Mike to get through their static noise and drive by meters all day, you done well Your silencer has done well. Me with the same silencer got sent home last year due to drive by induction Quote
felters Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I guess that my induction noise is slightly helped by not having filters hanging out the side of the bonnet. Two of the meters are on the outside of the track and one on the inside, and the marshals did say that sevens generally struggle because either their exhaust pipe or their air filters are pointing straight at them.
