I know this is how it should be but nevertheless, it warms yer cockles when you come across someone doing their job right.

Placed an order on Friday afternoon for some some ACB10's and was told that they'd be delivered on Tuesday.

No sign on Tuesday so phoned at lunchtime on Wednesday. Got through to a fella by the name of Stephen.

He took my details and explained that the phone was about to go dead but it was merely because he was putting me on hold. Couple of minutes later, he came back on and said he could find no trace of my order. He would have to look into it and call me back.

Within an hour he was back on and explained that there'd been a dangler-up due to doubt over stock. He couldn't confirm if what I wanted was actually in stock and said he'd have to go down to stores and figure it out for himself. He made a point of asking when I was competing and hence what the deadline was (Thursday night / Friday morning). He'd call me back.

Again, within an hour, he called me back. He'd sourced what I was looking for and confirmed he'd witnessed them being dispatched. He made it clear that this would normally mean delivery by C.O.B. on Thursday but nothing's certain.

Good effort fella.
