Boomy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Read about the super duper cooper trooper car here.I know people have known about the car for a while btw, but i hadn't heard much about it for ages. Not too shabby in the performance stakes To quote part of it: "...The four turbo, four-wheel-drive supercar sprints to 62mph in just 2.5 seconds and reaches 300kph (186mph) in a scarcely believable 16.7 seconds. To put those figures into perspective a merely fast car like an Aston Martin DB9 would take over a minute longer to reach 300kmh...." So treat the wife if you have nearly 700k spare. Quote
Guest Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Now - if you put that engine in a Westy, you could reach 200 mph before you start off. Might need to increase the wheelbase and track though. The craziest thing I have read about this is the rumoured requirement to call the engineers out to change the normal tyres and settings if you want to use the car's full potential, even on the road. I am also waiting for the 'Plod clocked on M6 at 250 mph was just testing' headline. Hey ho, hey ho, its off to the asylum we go! Quote
Paul M Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 According to this Week's autocar, the engine and gearbox weigh 650Kg !!!! Time to start upgrading and adding carbon parts Quote
chrisbin Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Trouble is, to access the peak performance you have to do something like pull over stop use special platinum key wait for "systems go" then go for it..... by which time that Enzo that came up behind you on the Autobahn will be long gone......... And anyway, as soon as you touch the brakes everything resets to normal "safe" mode anyway........ Quote
Martin Keene Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Yes, but, it's got 1001PS... Any car with 1K power *has* to be cool! Quote
