Boomy Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Did it work before or is this the first time you have tried to install it? Quote
Westfields Rock On Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 its worked before, and now wont. ive uninstalled and installed lots of times and it says "csconfigure not found" Quote
Boomy Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 So you put the cd in, run it (as in try to install the game) and that message pops up straight away and it doesn't install anything? I am trying to figure out the chain of events that relate to the pak0.pk3 problem you mentioned you see. Quote
Westfields Rock On Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 you put in cd install then, put in cd "play" error message the pak0 files hasnt installed properly Quote
Boomy Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 It seems from hunting about that it could be down to a dirty disc, or a fussy cd/dvd reader/writer. Some people are suggesting you need to access the cd/dvd and copy over the pak files manually. Others are suggesting you need to patch the gameand then fiddle about. Looks like it is one of those things that has caused problems for a lot of people, but one sollution will not always work for someone else. I even read som guy suggest that service pack 2 was to blame! To quote one guy: "...put your CoD CD in your computer and search for pak0.pk3 file. Copy it and put it in Main (Default : C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\Main) over your pak0.pk3 file" Or to the dir you installed to if not the default one. Quote
