Mark B Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Currently looking for a speedsport or similar for a good friend of mine, Steve who had the series one escort turbo for those of you who have met him. (He's already joined the club btw) We've seen this car on the auto trader, 2nd one down red sport carbon http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www....=SEARCH It comes in at about 70 miles away from junction 18 of the M6 but as it has mobile numbers only we have no idea which area it's in. We've rang the numbers but not received a call back . So I wondered, do any of you recognise the car or know it's owner/location please? We've got another similar car to view around Birmingham, if this is roughly the same area it would save us alot of time. Cheers, Mark. Quote
Mrs Westy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Don't know the car, but punching in different postcodes and seeing how near I could get it led me to Kenilworth Quote
Mark B Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 Distance wise it's about right, trouble is I don't know which direction it's in? If it's north of us (Cheshire) then it could be lake district way etc... Cheers for looking though! Quote
Mrs Westy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 It's in Kenilworth I punched in the postcode of a random kenilworth hotel I found, and it was within 1 mile Quote
Mark B Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 I'm either missing something or incredibly thick, how do you know it's in Kenilworth as it just says it's 71 miles from my house and both the numbers are mobiles so no area codes? or is it "womens intuition" Cheers, Mark. Quote
Mrs Westy Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 1. Take map of UK. Work out where existing location is, giving 71 mile result. 2. Pick a random direction approximately 71 miles away and choose a place in that direction, e.g. Birmingham 3. Go to google and type Birmingham (or whatever the place you choose is) Find a web page which contains a local postcode. 4. Go to autotrader and punch in that postcode. See how many miles away your new result is. 5. Continue playing "hotter and colder" with steps 2-4 until you work out whereabouts the car is! Quote
Mark B Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 I see now sorry it's been a long day........that's my excuse anyway That's good, it's in the same area as another one so can look at both in the same morning. I owe you a drink Cheers, Mark. Quote
