CrashBangWallop Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I apologise in advance to my cr@p description. I was to told that my VDO rev counter could be displaying half the true rev amount. It was set-up on my old CVH but, is now reading it's input from the EDIS-4, I think. Is there a pulse difference... or a setting on the rev counter I can change... or do I need to get a reading from somewhere else? I'm sure what I'm on about. Can you tell? It's not a major problem but, it would be nice to do it correctly. My rev counter will otherwise read like it was a V8 Thanks, Neil Quote
Gromit Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 DIP switch settings? Veiwed from the back with the big connector at the top, settings should be (from left to right) 1-up,2&3-down. HTH Quote
Paul M Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 If the dip switch settings dont make any difference you can get an Omex unit that doubles the read out. I had to have one after Dennis Vessey re-mapped my Weber Alpha system Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 Thanks very much. I'll take a look tonight. Neil Quote
deano.1 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I have a VDO rev counter running with an EDIS 4 module and it reads fine, I wired the tach pulse into terminal 2 of the EDIS4 which apparentley gives a full tach signal although it doesn't seem to be marked on the wiring diagrams that i've seen! Hope this helps Quote
