b*******. Beaten by a fellow YB owner...

in yer dreams...........whats that, oh you didn't mean that sort of beating.

Puts Anorak on and zips up to chin.......strictly speaking my base engine is a YA not a YB

YAB001 (mine) was the only Nat Asp prototype built and supplied to Ford for testing when they were looking at putting a non turbo Sierra into production in 1988. There is also a YAC which is a Nat Asp version built for Midget Racing in USA I believe (this is the Piston type I have, they are flat tops and probably not as effective as the Accralite jobbies........that I now have on order)

Blatters is yours from a YBB, YBC, YBD, YBF, YBG, YBJ, or YBP?

The reason there is no YBE is because Cosworth thought Ford would refer to it as Your bl**** Engine.

I think mines a YBB. Early 2WD turbo engine converted to Atmo by me using genuine Cosworth pistons (ouch...), and now producing around 235bhp :blues:

Mate of mine sold an original Escort 1600 BDA in bits for £6500 to a guy in Germany recently. Once assebled it''ll be worth around £20,000....apparently.:0
