leighc
If I'm going to panel my transmission tunnel in c/f, is it a case of covering over the ally or do you take the ally out and use thicker c/f? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I was just contemplating the idea and was unsure of the scale of the job. Leigh
Rob Navin
You would normally take the ali out oun nd fit the carbon in its place. You can have acrbon overlaid on the pannels once they are out of the car but you would not see any weight saving benifit so not realy a good idea. Just one work of warning when using carbon fibre. Once you fit one bit on your cr it becomes addictive and expensive

injidup
How have people handled the gap between the top and side panels on the tunnel??? I'd like to do carbon-fibre, but don't want to use metal to trim the gap. Any ideas/pics?? Ta! Kev
