Doe anyone have any pictures or any comments on how  :arse:  friendly they are ?

I think the one that was in my car when I bought it is a Plays Kool one. It was OK, but uncomfortable on long runs. They're probably fine for mainly track use, but as I do a lot of road miles, they weren't for me.

Switched to the Westfield padded race seats, and they've been great. Some flex around the top of them, but not enough to make me change.

ive now done some fairly longs days in my playskool seats, over 6 hours per day for 4 days straight and am more than happy with them.  the trick is to get them in the car exactly hopw you want them.  i spent a lot of time getting this right.  have a look at the photos on the ne7ers site

basically what i did was put the seats in and work out what was comfy for me.  i then marked this on the car.

i then put the bolts into the base of the seat such that they were adjusted the same as the marking in the car (lots of lifting in and out of seat).

i then filled the floor of the car with expanding foam and put the seat on top.

i then used the bolts as a handy marker for where to drill the bolt holes and then bolted the seat down sandwiching the expanding foam.  the foam also has the handy advantage of spreading my fat load evenly :-)

your in the north east arent you?  if so feel free to pop up to newcastle and have a sit in

I got mine from MK sports cars for just £100 each.  Top seats and very comfortable...I spend 6 hours in them today, doing the Cambs orienteering event, no prblems at all  :t-up:

My pkm grp seats (not the r499 alikes) have been great on 2 c2c's; run down to meet the neighbours etc.

Hugely supportive; sit you nice and low in the car and much less of a pain in the   :arse:  if you use the car in all weathers.

Nothing worse than sitting in a wet padded seat :(

Quick wipe down of the grp seat and in ya get

Yes, but you 'pad' your seats Scott...

I found 100 miles plus in the seat that was in my car when I got it started to get uncomfortable.

Perhaps I need to eat more pies ;)

I do indeed sit on a piece of very expensive hospital mattress when travelling a long ditance (ie meet the neighbours) but that's  more to do with preserving foot/nerve function  in an already well dodgy leg. Even the padded westfield seat gave me issues in that dept though.

In addition; it's better (for me) to run my current set up as I can run without padding (the way I prefer it)for short blats but then chuck in a bit of foam for a long blat. When it gets wrecked I can chuck in another piece off the mattress

Are any of these seats slightly wider than the Caterham tillett seat ?
