Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 We've had no rain up here in the north for about a month now, They would have declared a drought and we would have had a hosepipe ban if it had'nt rained this past couple of days, i hope nobody had planned to use their westy's this weekend Quote
Robertio Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Move up to Glasgow, it never does anything but rain up here I think it was over 60 days at the start of this year before we had a dry day, and it's not improved a whole lot since then. Now, why was it I bought a car with no roof again? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Very funny young Hurdsey I'm still moist It's o.k for you Northern folks With your fleecy lined thermals and tin-tops. Mind you the wet stuff did wash off the sheep stuff Quote

Buzz Billsberry Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 I agree there was a 'tad' of rain @ Scam yesterday but I was more concerned with the wind trying 2 take my tent down with a force 9 gusting was a nightmare .If the wind had got 2 grips with my tent and me I wouldn't have needed 2 drive back 2 Leeds I would have gone by air! Despite feeling like a sponge when I got back 2 HQ it was still a hoot Especially @ Robo's 50th bash where I stood with other mortals under an awning with the rain abosolutley lashing down, freezing our nuts off, drinking Stella, but the view across the dam was very romantic My thoughts of Scammendon will be sat on the start line in my car looking down to check I was strapped in correctly only 2 see a pool of water about 1" deep which had collected in my gortex jacket where it had rolled up over the belts that really did sum the weather up plus all that sheep turd!! it was every where.... along with pavement pizzas Steve Davis left.Steve Robinson does like to take out the competion with his cooking Apparently Steve was the head chef in Mrs Miggin's pie shop!! Comment of the day by the Cerk of the Course "They don't build dams in deserts" Buzz Quote
jon fry Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Had great fun this Sunday driving through the Peak District with three other Westies and meeting up with the Morgan owners club. OK the weather was changeable to say the least. and i have decided i need more hair to protect me from the hailstones. Thanks again to Andrew Cooke for organising the run and to those who understandably decided not to join us shame you missed a good day. Quote
