Barry Ashcroft Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I am sure there was a website for some bloke who made various things for seven type cars on of the things he made was elasticated net type map pockets you can attach inside your car. Any ideas who or where he was? Barry Quote
Rob Navin Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 No but Demon Tweeks do them for rally cars on page 179 of the red book. 290mmx180mm = £10.07 380mmx240mm = £12.20 HTH Rob Quote
Jed Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Try James Whiting at the top of that page. Used them in my car and they're very tidy units. A better pic is on the mycaterham.com site here Quote
Paul M Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Bu**er, ordered 2 of the Demon tweeks ones earlier today. James Whiting is significantly cheaper. Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted August 17, 2005 Author Posted August 17, 2005 Try James Whiting at the top of that page. Thats the chap cheers Barry Quote
studbuckle Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 James whiting ones fitted in Maverick on Tuesday Quote
Mark B Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Whereabouts did you fit them si? Was thinking of fitting some myself, just unsure whether to fit them to the transmission tunnel or cockpit sides.... Cheers, Mark. Quote
Darren B Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I bought some leatherette stuff from a fabric shop, borrowed a sewing machine and made a couple of pockets up. They have velcro flaps, so that the stuff doesn't jump out, and mount to the interior panel just under my knees by using a couple of the snaps from the weather gear. Custom made so I know that my wallet and phone fit in them Darren Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted August 18, 2005 Author Posted August 18, 2005 Just ordered 3 from James Whitting they have 8 left in stock but are expecting 100 in tomorrow. Barry Quote
cidersurfer Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I've got the James Whiting one too. It certainly works okay. Mines sort of by my right knee. Quote
studbuckle Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Mine are fitted on the ouside of the footwells starting from 4 inches behind the skuttle and as high up as they would go. Basically I sat Carla in the car and said 'Where can you reach'... that kinda limited the positioning to sensible places as she was belted in tight at the time (she got out though ) 3 Barry? you putting one between the seats? I spent 20 minutes getting Smokey the Bears seat to fit there last night so he can see where he's going when we get there Quote
Darren B Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I'm on the work computer so don't have a pic to hand. Soz Darren Quote
Mark B Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 No worries, I saw some fitted on the niceeee blue V8 reg S8 YOB at stoneleigh, he'd fitted them on the transmission tunnel. Which size did you guys fit/order then? Ta, Mark. Quote
