Hi Westies,

I am new to your website. I'm the North East area secretary for the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCAR). I drive a 2 litre RH S7. We were at Harrogate at the weekend and enjoyed the company of your members on Saturday night. We would like to invite all Westies to our camping weekend at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, North York Moors this Saturday night. We will be having a few pints in the Lion Inn on Saturday night, Sunday morning we will be taking a run over to the coast, interested?

Blimey, and I thought they had all upset the neighbours at Harrogate :)

That's a great offer I'm sure...would be good to get a large group of 7s together.

Shame some of them would be Robin Hoods.

:D

(Please note the smileys in the above before taking offence...)

After all the slagging off of RH in the past, I now feel truly humble. Abject apologies for any bad thoughts I have had about RH.

What a nice gesture - hope someone can go.

Hear hear and well done to the RH club. It seems their sense of humour is just as twisted as ours. :t-up:

More power to yer :D

God help "them" more like. The WSCC and RHOC join forces. What's the plan and when do we attack?

We also enjoyed your company on Sat at Harrogate.

It showed the organiser that the two largest Marques have common ground. FUN! :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

Too right a most enjoyable evening.

(Rant mode on)

The more marques who gang up to have some fun and show they are united against the dictatorial show organisors the better, perhaps they will realise that without us all they would have no shows!!

(rant mode off)

Would love to join in the fun with red7 and the RH guys but one trip up North a month is enough for me, but I am sure we will all party again :D  :D

we'll be in Scotland but thanks for the offer... our Coast2Coast run takes in Blakey ridge and then on to RHB so it's well known to a lot of our members.  Hopefully you'll have some company

It was a great night at Harrogate and we agree with everyones comments, after all fun is fun!

Blakey Ridge is an awesome place to be in a 7, unfortunatley we are gonna try and spend some time at home this weekend, sincere thanks for the offer though!

Hi Red 7

We met at the NE7ers a couple of months ago when our converstion turned to Harrogate and the bad press or gripes we had regarding what we thought was a RHOCAR complaint about us at Harrogate last year. Its really good that you came over to join us and thanks for the support with our little conversation with the organiser. I'm sure there are bad eggs in every camp and I think we showed that there is no genuine malice between us and we are both a sociable lot. (although apparently too social for the organiser :p )

Thanks for the run out offer I will let you know via Email from work on Friday, but due to a trackday at Croft on Sunday may not make it

Cheers

When do you run the Coast to Coast?

Like a few others in this thread I too am part of RHOCaR. Top man in fact. We have spent the last few years since I took over changing the face of the Club and making it a more social Club with a more open attitude to other marques. This has proved to be very successful and the membership has gone up and the variety of cars in the club is wide.

Harrogate show proved one thing to me. The organisers have lost the plot, if they want to sell cars and make money then we must be an essential part of the plan. It's us the punters come to see what the cars are really like after they have had the flannel from the sales people inside. I hope that the shows in the future are more like Harrogate as far as the social events go and the party is bigger and better. Do we need to bring a louder sound system so we can hear ours over the Cleveland Kit Car Owners? :D .

We'll see some of you at Barkston. ps Steve M I still haven't had your cheque!!!

:(:(
