Chasmon
Hmmmm I had to turn pieces up to get them IN without damage, I can verify the tight fit as well - was difficult to get some of them in the 60 tonne press I was using so I tried a massive bench vice.....Apparently I wasn't heavy enough... Anyway at least they won't squeak....Will they?
stubbow
ive got the nylon bushes supplied by the factory. Whilst down at matt's having the suspension set up we noticed that the wishbones were sticking very bad, when i got home i stipped the bolts out and applied lashings of copperslip this seemed to free them up but whilst working on the car today i noticed that they are stiff as a bord agian I have only done about 500 miles since lubing them up and i have not been out in the rain. It seems to be the outer face of the bush sticking to the chassis bracket even when i slacken the bolts off they still stick! Any suggestions on how to solve this. blankczechbook
anyone got the original part number mg/triumph - is it 119450 or 119451 or another code a talbot sunbeam part number cropped up in another search Y976 OE number 7919901 westfield number 4313001 metallic suspension bush... sizes id 11.3mm od23.8mm lengths 38.2/35mm i measured from a westfield bush. being overseas if i can find them locally then i'd be grateful, paying a fiver a time plus the postage isn't so bad, but the time wasted can be a pain when the weather is nice :-)
James
What car are they Mouldy cheese mixed in with some Monkey snott! as they said change them IMHO metalstic bushes are crap and will need changing in the future any way polyurathane is your freind! Nylon again IMO is too firm for the road BUT it is best when fitting the poly bushes to ream out the wishbone so that the bushes are not too tight and will rotate around the central collet if you cant do this yourself speak to Ivan or Matt Click they can help you. OH and DONT use the cat bushes for the rear end if you have a live axel there too firm but again the guy's can advise you on this.
