Scott, - don't you mean 'risk is a product of an interesting time' pre op'. :D:D:D:D

I have enough trouble with 6 and 3 1/2 year old sons.  My eldest fits in the harnesses ok but I am not happy with my youngest but he desperate not to miss out.  Thankfully he is happy with a quick spin around the block never getting over 30 mph

Personally I wouldnt risk it.

And bah-sucks to you lot.  I love my sons to bits and wouldn't change them for the world, I just have to drink much less beer and wine thats all  :p:p

P.S. Whilst on the Coast 2 Coast there was a guy with an adapted booster seat for his son made from a polystyrene base that he had cut and re-covered to fit with the seats. Looked a really good job and very effective (the car looked great too!! )   :t-up:

yes...don't invest £250,000 in the first 20 years of offspring time. Have the chop and invest most of the money in wine, women and song. The go and spend the rest frivolously.

Risk is a spectrum, not a switch.

Wooow........ theres an issue in there somewhere wanting to come out!

ok...so hoist and petard me. If only there were an irony emoticon.

we're all going for our dictionarys now!!

A petard is an explosive device used to break down doors or walls. Hence - hoist on ones... Used by Shakespeare in Hamlet 'For tis the sport to have the enginer / Hoist with his owne petar'.

From the French 'péter' - TO FART!

You'll need a baby on board sticker like wot I got  :p

<-- You'll need these too.

However, I wouldn't put a 10 month old baby in a Se7en. I'm with Emma on this one. My lad's just too precious and a Se7en is just too violent. I wouldn't be satisfied his neck would be strong enough to cope with the dynamics, even though you might be driving carefully.

I'd wait until he was able to talk and tell me whether he's OK with it.

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh whats wrong wiv ya all - the exhaust noise would drown out any screaming and crying noises

Surely the footwell is big enough to squeeze a couple of kiddies in and some high strength gaffa tape will hold em still  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D            :D  ***

*** For those sensitive types - Wind yer necks in now  :D Just joshing  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Wait until the rugrats are big enough to be held securely by the seatbelts / harnesses  ;)

As a parent i think we all know the real answer.

Agreed!

Me too. 250k buys an awful lot of good red wine

Risk is the product of an interesting time.

Think of it from the kids angle  ???  ???  ???

personally I would have loved it if me Dad had taken me for a nappy change in a Westy .

Kids privalaged these days, beyond believe   :sheep:

No matter what car you come in, I hope he likes loud music and Adult conversation, but he won't be the first to vomit thats for sure!

Luckily, I don't have an accent :irony emoticon:

And there was me thinking the derivation of petard was from C18th British naval venacular, where a petard was a foot long, 2" wide wooden dowel, used wound in the rigging, as a foot-stand to support the tars as they worked. Thank-you Wilde, I've learnt something new today (subject to corroborration).

BTW, it's common to suffix your jibes with  :p  or  :D  or similar, unless of course your being intentionally offensive/ merely stupid :D  :D :irony emoticon:

I'd love to take my boys out in the Westy because I'd like them to share my hobby. I know they'd jump at the chance.

However personally I don't think it's worth the risk, however small or large you may think the risk of accident is.

I crashed my Westy 12 months ago. I was driving sensibly, but lost the back end coming off a roundabout. Maybe my driving, maybe a patch of oil/diesel. Either way I hit a lamp post. Certainly makes you realise how exposed you are.

Cheers
