Tubs Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Well, after several issues I managed to get the car ready for my trip to the 'ring. The water rail had been throwing out a lot of water, so this was cured with a new pressure cap. The cooling has worked much better since. The fueling was well out, I was getting about 10 mpg in Jersey and probably bore wash at tick over. With no rolling road it was quite tricky, but with my mates help we got a map that has work well so far. Fuel economy on the motorways was about 32mpg and 15mpg round the ring. The fan was not turning on and we could not locate any thermo switch for it, so we wired a manual switch. This was all finnished on Wednesday evening ready for the Thursday afternoon boat. I was travelling with a friend in his Honda S2000 who is a regular ringer and he has written an excellent write up here :-http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=310444 I hope this link works as it's all still a bit techie for me Anyway, got home safely with about 1400 miles completed. However, I have since discovered that the throttle cable has slipped so I did the trip with only 80% throttle. This has now been corrected and shouldn't happen again. Looking forward to the next trip, being Easter 2006. Quote
