Major Stare Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 A plane crashed this week in Canada, and now this today... Tunisia jet sea crash and this just happened... Plane crash-lands in city street Quote
Jed Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Just read the Cessna one : Those aircraft carry about eight litres of fuel and it's pretty volatile fuel, Eeek - that's less than a Westfield holds. Must be some special stuff then. Quote
oldman Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 There wos another one 5 minutes ago.......I chucked me Stanley plane at the wall after another bodge job Quote
alan dixon Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Always happens in 3's, must be safe to fly now Quote
bhouse Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 That 8 litres of fuel nonsense... A national broadcaster should not put 'facts' in a bulleting unless they've been checked. If fact a Cessna 150/152 holds just under 150 litres and the fuel is basically 98 octane petrol. If they only had 8 litres remaining then that's why they landed away from an airfield as the final 12/20 litres can't be picked up by the fuel lines. Brian Quote

Major Stare Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 Just been out in my Citreon C5 1.8 petrol company car, I think its suffering a fuel problem like the Cessna. Just put £15.00 in the car as it was reading 25miles left in the tank. Do a 19.7mile round trip and its now reading 21miles in the tank remaining. So thats about 7miles/gallon Quote
