Barry Ashcroft Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Had a very productive day with Dave Pillinger in Peasdown St John near Bath he specialises in suspension setups. Can't prase the guy enough he even lent me his car to go to castle combe to collect a bigger set of rear springs (300lb)and a new rose joint as I had a faulty one. Put the car on the weight scales and I have a near 50 50 weight front to back and the car full of fuel weighs in a 754kgs so with near on 500bhp thats 625bhp per ton On the way home the car drives like a dream and the turn in response is awesome. To say it's quick is an understatement. If anybody requires the services of a fully gen'd up suspension expert with over 20years experiance give Dave a call on 01761437619 Barry Quote
Lurksalot Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I thought the clutch was slipping untill I realised it was the rear tyres lighting up in 4th at 40mph. That sounds like fun Is that why the foriegn trip only covers the very dry half of a particular far of country Quote
Guest Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 sounds like he knows his stuff , i have now gone to a 250lbs rear spring but my car is way lighter , how did he corner weight the front ? did he set it for 50/50 across the fronts which we have now found is much better under braking than going for 50/50 across the diagonals .
