Blatman Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Interesting that the first comment is from a Blatchatter who, with two options of interpretation, chooses the one which is the most spiteful Quid pro quo? Quote
conibear Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 what is wrong with sharing your joy with others that you are a proud father unless you been there you cant imagine the feelings he's feeling. mind you, I got to say I would not be on the internet just becoming a father Quote
scott beeland Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 Jeeezus...Only joking Just amazes me how once a sproglet arrives conversation and lifestyle rapidly centres (and I mean centres) around feeding/sleep times/nappy types/first word/steps/immunisation schedules/weight targets........ jak Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Nobody mentioned the heritage of the "new model". John. Quote
Nick M Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 *shrugs* Until you have one it's hard to appreciate how much of a life-changing event it is. Some of the life-changing stuff is born our of necessity to accommodate this funny little thing which needs feeding and looking after and some of it is a result of parents being really rather proud of their offspring. chappers Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I'm afraid I'm with KenE on this one. ......Two options of interpretation?? Doesn't read very friendly to me, even if I try to read it unbiased, since I have become a father to. If you don't want kids that's fine with me, but if you do then that's great too. If "those lot", i.e. recent fathers want to talk about first gurgles then good on them. I could tell you about my daughters first one if you want but I feel you just might not understand. I could also tell you about my first westy drive as well. You can enjoy both. Quote

Is it really so hard to understand why? This is nothing new. <-- Not that *I* know anything about it mind. Quote
jak Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Come on chaps, lighten up. If someone can post a joke about the killing of an innocent Brazilian in London on here, I'm sure we can poke fun at a new Dad - can't we PS. Those night time feeds are a real pain are n't they? Quote
