slakbladder
Hello, Easy question, I've just bought a 1987 Pre-Lit with a Honda fireblade lump in the front and an Escort Mk?? diff. The heavy handed MOT chap snapped the handbrake cable. I've taken it off and it looks like a standard cable (not home made) which goed from the hand brake to the right wheel only. Where can I get a new one from ?
Tony Hughes
I built a 1987 pre-lit and seem to recall the handbrake cable came from the Escort Mk 1 or Mk 2 but had to be shortened to suit. Tony
Paul Ash
I presume yours goes to one side brake drum and then a steel rod crosses to the otherside? Yes it a shortened escort cable. I have one off my old car available. contact me on 07909 907596
Blatman
And before you fit it, send it off to Speedy Cables and get them to make a couple of spares...
