Had a tricky few days of Westie ownership...

Tuesday - Drifting at Oulton..... 3 Laps and a dead battery.  

Wednesday - Track Day at Oulton..... Engine cut out... Restarted (very briefly), Sounds like Big End gone. :(  :(  :( ... certainly very sick engine in need of rebuild.

The only light at the end of the tunnel was Thursday at Anglesey, as I got to use an MX5.  What a fantastic little car (especially in the wet), I was drifting around quite a few corners (School definatly excluded).... and I am normally crap at that sort of thing, very well balanced.

Need to take the car up to Holeshot and fearing the worst

I have been thinking maybe I could get a very light trailer and tow the westie with an MX5

:p

Apparently a Eunos is better for track days as they came with an LSD as standard.

What happened to engine? I thought you had a dry sump fitted to the busa?

what is it with busa engines at the mo! :angry:   my pal knocked a big end out on his busa a couple of  weeks ago on a track day, engine had done little over 1,000 miles from new and had a westfield dry sump fitted.... only did a couple of 20minute sessions then it started to knock ..

holeshot have just rebuilt it for him , it needed a  crank, and a couple of gears .. not cheap either  :arse:   :down:  :down:
