Mrs Westy Posted April 9, 2002 Author Posted April 9, 2002 Burn all women's shoes as well...make women walk around in their socks But Westy, you're so tall and I'm so short that if I didn't wear any shoes I'd only come up to your....oh....err....I see. In that case, your theory is flawless Mrs W Quote

SteveF Posted April 18, 2002 Posted April 18, 2002 I know i'm joining this thread a bit late but so far my westie has cost me in the region £30k :0 - the logic behind it went a bit like this ... Me: "I want to buy a Westie" SWMBO: "But you've nowhere to keep it" Me: "I can fit a garage into the yard" SWMBO: "But what about your OTHER car?" Me: "Hmmmm......" Then the penny dropped - it was too late when I realised where this conversation was going ... SWMBO: "We NEED to move house" :0 Me: "So - we need a house with a double garage" SWMBO: "But we also need a guest bedroom, a bigger dining room, a bigger kitchen, AND somewhere for all your junk" Well, to cut a long story short (as Mrs Westy would say )we managed to find the right garage (with house attached ) - although it did (still does) need a bit of work. A month after moving in - I bought my Westie. The work on the Westie is progressing nicely, and the work on the house - well .... there's always the winter when its too cold in the garage - maybe I ought to put central heating in there - hmmm ... there's a good home improvement idea Quote
Mrs Westy Posted April 19, 2002 Author Posted April 19, 2002 there's always the winter when its too cold in the garage - maybe I ought to put central heating in there Jest ye not. I was sent to B&Q to buy an oil filled radiator for the garage. Unfortunately, they didn't have one, so I bought some kitchen units instead :0 OK that last bit's a lie, but as soon as we move house, I'll be a-buying those units Mrs W Quote
Mrs Westy Posted April 25, 2002 Author Posted April 25, 2002 ...so, in conclusion, 2 of you reckon you've spent less than £500 more than you said; and I'm not sure I believe you. And about a third have spent over £10,000. Plus I reckon those who had to bribe their Mrs Westies with new fitted kitchens also fit into that category; so it's probably closer to 40-50% have spent over 10K more than original guess. Now, we've spent about £10K over in five months. Does this not bode well for the future... Mrs W Quote
