Terry Everall Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 On the last run from out of nowhere Andy pulled one out of the bag as magicians say. It wasnt so much a trick as a miracle as his times had not impressed all day. Well done Andy EXPERT STATUS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Terry's Trophy Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Well done Andy, I hope you have one of my cousins taking pride of place on your mantlepiece now Terry, did you win anything to keep me company? I'm lonely. Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 Won first at Harewood last sunday but they neraly gave it to Nick Algar which had my bottom lip trembling for a while It is a BIG trophy Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 My rear Anti roll bar broke in half during first practice run !!!! Therefore trying to handling the high speed understeer was pants and abit hairy at times. Still did me best and came 3rd Also new Nitron Shockers have arrived but seem to be wrong length! So still running with knackered ones Hence that is 2 excuses for one event Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Terry's currently spending most of his time re-writing the "Excuse book" Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Terry, I still dont think its your shocks that are the problem. Have you checked out the other things that I mentioned to you? They can be fixed with a file and a stanley knife without cost! John Quote
Bananaman Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Thanks Terry Being new to MIRA I thought I’d build up gradually which seemed to do the trick, First run 59.??(85mph ) Second Run 55.?? (99mph), Third run 53.9? (103mph) Forth run 51.47 (112mph ) TBH i was surprised that I knocked off 2.5 sec's on the final run. Was a good battle with yourself and Martin Palmer. I've been reliably informed that being an Expert means that I’m now classed as an unknown drip under pressure sound about right..... Are well as I got voted to do the commentary (in my absence) at least I’ll be able to BIG myself up.... Quote
stever Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 A set of results would be useful... preferable a copy of the official ones. Sorry I could not join you in b Terry. Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Well done Nana's did you do a victory lap? Buzz Quote
Frau Vesty Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Some old codswallop about why Bananaman beat him It's ok Terry, you weren't a failure, you just experienced deferred success Quote
neilwillis Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 What a bunch of deferred succeeders they are - jeez what's the world coming to? Not you Nanas, excellent result there. Quote
Blatman Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Actually, I quite like the principle behind the ideas. I don't like the PC language used but I think the reasoning has merit. If they don't dangler it up it could be a good thing... Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 John Wishbones were nice and free. The Shockers were b*******ed Got new ones fitted now See how they go at Mallory Quote
