Min Number of Threads on Wheel Nuts

What do people recommend as the min number of threads should be showing past open wheel nuts.

2 although I got pulled up on this @ Courborough and you need 1.5 x the diameter of the thread covered by the nut so if your studs are 12mm & your nuts are 18mm deep then none... QED
