Chester Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Anyone know how to reset the service indicator on a 2004 Megane 1.9 dCi? It's a long story but the indicator says it needs servicing every 12K but it should be at 18K intervals. The dealer says to come back after I have covered 6K from the service and he will reset it back to 12K giving a total of 18K between services. I'm sure by some combination of button pressing on the trip computer I should be able to reset it myself rather than visit the dealer. Thanks Mark Quote
Megablade Paul Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Don't think you can - has to be done through the ECU and the dealer gadget/fault code reader I believe Quote

Chester Posted July 7, 2005 Author Posted July 7, 2005 By a process of trial and error I've found out how to do it. I guess it would also work with other Renaults. With the trip computer showing "miles to next service" press and hold the button at the 5 o'clock position on the speedo. Wait until the display flashes and changes to show 12,000. Now press the button nearest the steering column on top of the remote radio control. This will reset the service interval. Mark Quote
