Buzz Billsberry Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Comes over to me as a right whingebag ! PB I just wonder how you'd fell sfter spending £126K on your dream car and it turned into a robin hood! Buzz Quote
Blatman Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Well, not so much... It'll be in bits to fit floor mounted pedals, a hydraulic clutch, and a final onslaught at getting the lighter calipers and discs fitted, and a slight re-work of the spacers for the lower front suspension bearing. And maybe a new exhaust system... oh, and the injection conversion (which reminds me, I must phone Walker...) After that it's down to your place for a set up. Book me in for Christmas 2006... Quote

Buzz Hardley likely Problem was with the alarm system ? afaik not the car I think if I had shelled out, I would be miffed ,yes But It wouldnt have put me off if I really wanted a GT40 Problem could have been sorted And as I said, That kinda money is peanuts to SOME people. Just think Clarkson blew cold on the car when he realised it wasn't what he wanted . The money thing had nothing to with it Its ALL about status pure and simple Quote
I.S.M Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 i swear it d be easier to learn how to drive! I know a good instructor........ Quote

I suppose it makes it even worse when so many people also know that the car's proved, (unfairly or not), to be a bit of a turkey. Then again, over on the darkside someone's put forth the theory that he actually now want's another Ferrari... Quote

Paul M Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Page 135, July edition To Gear Magazine, test of Ferrari 430 hard & soft top ( by Jezza). "This month my long awaited Ford GT arrived - unfortunatley I went to see it 24hrs after I drove Ferrari's new f430 - which is undoubedly the best car ever made" That kind of explains why he's decided to go for a refund so soon.
