Darrell O'Neill Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Spent the day yesturday at the F2 stock car racing A completely different kind of racing and good fun, would recommend it if you get chance.... 160-170 bhp from 2L pinto engines red lining at 10K on single carbs is something else Quote
fastcarl Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 whoever told you they run to 10k is having a giraffe, or was stood at the bar, , carl Quote
stu999 Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 If you think F2's are good, (and they are IMHO), you *really* want to make the effort to go see the F1 stockers. WOW!!! It's worth it just for the noise of 20+ breathed on big V8's literally thundering down the straights... Quote

tankerman24 Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I was working as a track marshal at this weekends national hot rod world championship at foxhall, one of the highlights was the retro rods, Mk1 and Mk2 escorts Anglias and Imps, driven by Polley and Lee, It was like going back in time, polley comming from the back round the outside of everyone to take the win, pics can be seen on www.rollingstart.co.uk worth a look.
