Just had the missus's Astra serviced & had to replace both the rear coil springs (One had snapped!. How much for a pair of the thinnest, poxy looking, non genuine Vauxhall springs?

£146 the pair plus fitting labour!!!!!  Is it me or is that f***in' expensive? The whole (10,000 mile) service was £350 & thats from the local garage I use for almost all the bits & pieces that I cant do/ couldn't be bothered to do myself. They are good guys & wouldn't rip me off but F**k me that's some bill!

I hope he has another reason to go there, too.  Surely he'd spend nigh on £100 on petrol just getting it there and back, without even factoring in the extra time

You could have bought a full set of four pucker uprated ones from Demon Thieves for £130, I replaced on the back of my astra estate last year for £37, it took about 20 mins to change the pair??
