geofff Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Hi All, Need a bit of help for the Zycko Summer Party. Last year we had some banger cars welded up and a course made up at the boss' home - seriously dangerous in my view but nobody died and we all enjoyed it. Plus reverse bungee jumping, spar, massage, BBQ, beer etc.... Had a big fire at the end of the do (banger cars) Fire Brigade thought it a scream but the neighbours weren't happy! Anyway this year the boss wants to get in some "go - kart buggy things" - I thought he meant Honda pilots but apparently they're bigger than he was thinking off Any ideas? We'd probably be looking at getting someone in to set up course etc.. with training / helmets and about 15 buggies. Anybody do that type of thing? Any other suggestions welcome (of a motorsport nature) to be carried out at his place rather than a different venue. Ta Geoff PARTYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! ahem. Quote
chazpowerslide Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Pilots are seriously good fun, very fast if they are not restricted and have good protection when you get it wrong. I'd have thought they'd be ideal for a corprate do. Chaz. Quote
SteveF Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Had a go in these "Buggy Karts" at the weekend They were great fun - they'd get up to about 40 mph, and you could throw them all over the place (we did ) They're run by PEC down near Corwen in Wales - they had various types including some which were 2 seaters - so 'non-drivers' could join in the fun. THe guys who run it use it their 'part-time' business - their real one being building race & rally cars - and doing interesting engine transplants If you make it worth his while - he may even be able to transport the karts over to you - if you want contact details give me a PM Steve Quote
geofff Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 Hi Steve, Found their number on Yell.com and gave them a ring. Really helpful. Will give a quote if it's possible to bring the kit along to Swindon. Thanks Geoff Quote
david.c Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Saw some little kart type things at Goodwood F.O.S. last year, which were controlled by 2 joysticks (left & right) which looked a right hoot. They obviously travel to set up, so if anyone has pointers towards them they could be a good idea. David Quote
