Jan Coombes Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Is it worth it? Anyone got a cracked version? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Was wonderin same its only 59 euros to upgrade - is it worth it Quote
jonlewis Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Can I suggest you buy the software, or go somewhere to look at it, rather than openly asking for a "cracked version". Software is becoming more and more expensive as more people use copies. Quote
7SE Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I've upgraded but not played with it yet. I was a bit pi$$ed off with the lack of functionality of ttn4palm and went out and bought a pocket PC and co-pilot5. Co-pilot has lots of functionality and a $hite UI and poor reliability - although the latter might have been a function of my HP2210 and using maps on SD cards. I thought that for EU65 (don't forget P&P) I would give ttn5 a go. It's not a bad value upgrade, in that you get detail maps for all of Europe in that price, even if you only had UK previously. Obviously less good value if you had already bought european maps... I'll report back, or have a look at pocketgps.co.uk Quote
a4gom Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I nearly bought it but found somethings I used were replaced with something else with less user input / control, can't remember what they were though and I've just done a search and can't find the place I read up on it. Not much use really am I, mixture of old age and alcohol abuse! One of the items may have been the route options, and not been able to set your own average speed but I might be talking OOM Quote

Dead right buy the software........ if you know what i mean Quote
davew Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I bought the upgrade and am very pleased with it, the maps scroll a lot smoother when driving and have the added benefit of displaying road named on the displayed streets. IMHO tomtom traffic is a waste of time so it the tomtom speed cam package, much better to use poi edit to sync speed cameras to your sd card and use the tom tom poi warner. This way it's free! If you don't use tomtom much I'd stick with version 3 Quote
Jan Coombes Posted June 24, 2005 Author Posted June 24, 2005 The cracked version was for a friend. Quote
felters Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Just bought a Go with 5.1 on it and it's fine. The M6 toll road works fine although the voice instructions on the new M4/A34 junction are misleading which is weird as the map showing your route is spot on. Otherwise it's just great. Quote
7SE Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 One of the items may have been the route options, and not been able to set your own average speed but I might be talking OOM I think that the brain cell that stored the memory about setting your own ave speeds survived Compared to ttn3 that is. ttn4palm never had this option anyway Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I've got an AA map you can buy? I have an RAC Map u can buy with a nice blue cover Quote

Software is becoming more and more expensive as more people use copies. And the world will be a much nicer place for it Quote
