chrisbin Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Anyone got any recommendations? Sorry, I know its O/T but it is for a Westy...... Quote
jdinhants Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Chris I use Pinnacle Pet Healthcare ( 020 8207 9068 ) for my 2 Border collies, 3 and 1 years old. Costs £ 12 and £11 per month. Had a claim for the puppy and received payment in 2 days so excellent service. Of course the problem with pet policies is that the premiums are " adjusted " each year to reflect age, claims etc so worth checking around at renewal time. JD Quote
John B Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I recommend Petplan, I have two Springer Spaniels (Bracken aged 7) and 9 week old Gunner. My oldest one was born with Hip Displaysia and had to undergo two operations costing £1700.00 Petplan were brilliant, they are not cheap but Bracken's insured for any problems for his hips for life unlike many cheaper pet insurance where you can only claim once. S8ight Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 pet plan. all the girls at the vets the wife used to work at use them for their own animals. good payers and good cover. more than and pet health care arent to bad either. Quote
KerryS Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Our two spaniels are with Saga (I know, means we're old ) Pet Insurance. Wife did survey and were most reasonable, dunno what we pay tho' and met one claim OK. Vet tried to swing a spey on the insurance saying it was needed for health of pet, but they wouldn't pay that as speying was excluded. Vet says she's worked this one on some insurance companies but didn't name names. Kerry S Quote
JAG Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 We've had our Irish Setter with Pet Plan for the last 8 years or so. In the last two years alone they've paid out for MRI scan, specialist back consultants etc... bills of over £2000 and they've paid up no problems. As someone else said, she's still covered for this recurring back problem now - not many will continue cover on a known problem. Quote
