Lurksalot
I May be being had but I have heard in a transplant without all the original electronics, and due to the large retard required to start the thing , that they can start up backwards thus chunking bit of starter rings into places they really don't need to be this has come from grass tracking specials but is there any experience of this in westfields ? You could probably start a two stroke backwards., but a 4 stroke the valves would be opening and closing in the wrong sequence. If you don't have a decent battery when starting a Busa it can kick back and destroy the starter gear. Later bikes have a better starter. This is even more of a problem on high comprsion and big bore Busa motors. Cheers Bazzer

S8ight
youd have to swap the carbs and exhaust round for it to possibly run the old blue invalid carriages where started backwards when you needed to reverse though can be done with two strokes quite easily, if you get change its a really good trick to play on mates
